By default, voicemails are sent via email or accessed by calling your extension from your phone.
The From Address will be 11DigitNumber@um.witnetworks.com.
(The 11-digit number is the caller's phone number)
e.g. WIT Networks were to leave you a voicemail. The From Address would be 13149919393@um.witnetworks.com.
This is a way to place a call on hold so that any other phone can pick it up.
This only works with desk phones.
Not available on cordless phones.
Also, note that the Caller ID will be lost once a parked call is picked up.
Answer an incoming call on another extension.
You will need to know the extension of the ringing phone.
Make an announcement over all phone speakers.
(Currently only works with desk phones, not cordless.)
Voicemails can be received by email or by calling your extension from your phone (e.g. calling your own extension).
The default delivery is email. Email delivery does not store a copy on the server.
It's a good idea to add the domain "@um.witnetworks.com" to your email safe list. Otherwise, it's possible for voicemails to end up in junk/quarantine.
The self-care portal is a web interface for account owners and end users to view and modify some common phone system features. The portal can be accessed via the links below.
When you first sign into the self-care portal you'll use a temporary password. Upon signing in you'll be asked to change your password.
Whether you logged in as an Admin or User the layout of the portal is the same.
There are four tabs at the top of the page to navigate between.
Your contact information is how your name will be displayed on your company's phones. (e.g. If someone in the office were to call you or have your extension noted on their phone it would appear as the information from here.)
The two main options you might want to change here are your default answering mode for incoming calls and music on hold for your phone specifically.
If your voicemails aren't emailed, this is one of the places they can be viewed.
The Admin login is for business owners and managers to make changes to the phone system. Some changes that can be made are:
Control and modification over all extension and phone lines
(This is nearly the same access as users have to their phones),
Huntgroups,
Change the default Music on hold,
and Send a fax.
This is where you can view your current phone plan, generate call reports, and review your total charges.
